Today 5 people came including Aurora's friend/classmate, Jenny, who teaches Japanese in Colombia. The five of us started off by playing a game called "Salad Bowl," which is somewhat similar to Taboo. Each person had to try to get everyone else to guess the Japanese word written down on their piece of paper by giving clues or explanations (in Japanese). Whoever could get the most words guessed correctly within 2 minutes won the game. Today's winners were Noel and Tina, so they each get $1 in Book-off points.
To keep track of how many Book-off points each person has, I've created a sticker chart. It may resemble something used in elementary schools, but the Japanese stickers are 結構かわいい。
The rest of the time was mainly spent reading with some socializing:)
Next Meeting:
When- Sunday at 1pm
Where- Aurora's house
